Times for watching the 2013 Kentucky Derby on TV

Good news for horse racing fans who will be at home and will watch the horse races on TV. The 2013 Kentucky Derby from Churchill Downs will be well covered on TV. Get your easy chair ready and stock up on snacks as there will be lots to watch.

NBC Sports Group will offer 14.5 hours of television coverage of the Kentucky Derby from May 1-4, as well as live video streaming.

The coverage includes 8.5 hours on May 4, the day of the Derby, on NBC and NBC Sports Network.
NBC will have three hours of Kentucky Derby coverage from 4-7 p.m. EDT May 4. The rest of the coverage will appear on NBCSN.

The schedule is as follows, with all times EDT:

May 1: Kentucky Derby Classics featuring Mine That Bird (4 p.m.) and the Kentucky Derby post-position draw (5 p.m.) on NBCSN.

May 2: Kentucky Derby Classics featuring Animal Kingdom (4 p.m.) and Kentucky Derby Access (5 p.m.) on NBCSN.

May 3: Kentucky Derby Classics featuring I’ll Have Another and live coverage of the grade I Kentucky Oaks (5 p.m.) on NBCSN.

May 4: Kentucky Derby Saturday (11 a.m.) on NBCSN, live coverage of the Kentucky Derby (4-7 p.m.) on NBC, and the Kentucky Derby Post-Race Show (7 p.m.) on NBCSN.

NBC Sports Live Extra will provide live video streaming for desktops, mobile devices, and tablets. NBC will use four online-only camera angles, offer analysis from commentators, and show replays and footage of Kentucky Derby prep races.
