California Chrome has an iBook children’s story about him

CC iBook“The Story of California Chrome,” a children’s news story telling of the fabled horse that came close to winning a Triple Crown, is now available as an iBook.

You can search for “California Chrome” in your iBooks app on iPhone or iPad. It costs 99 cents.

The iBook is one piece of the Reno Gazette-Journal’s California Chrome coverage.

Co-owners Steve and Carolyn Coburn live in Topaz Lake, Nev., and co-owners Perry and Denise Martin live in Yuba City, Calif.

RGJ sports columnist Chris Murray followed Chrome’s bid for a Triple Crown, including writing this children’s news story. The RGJ’s Steve Reich illustrated the story.
