Santa Anita to have Limited Attendance at Clocker’s Corner for Owners

saderbyday18_01_cgStarting on opening day, Friday, Sept. 25, licensed owners with a horse entered may attend the races at Santa Anita Park. Due to COVID-19, space is limited to two licensed owners per horse. Unfortunately, unlicensed guests are not permitted. If a horse has more than two owners or there are other licensed owners with business to be conducted e.g. claiming horses, we will do our best to accommodate if space is available.

Owners wishing to attend should email Mary Forney, executive director of TOC, to be put on a reservation list each day. Reservations can be made up until 24 hours before race day. If you have any questions, feel free to contact her at (626) 826-3782.

The quickest and safest way to access Santa Anita Park is to apply for a Virtual Badge before you arrive at the track. Once your badge is approved remotely, enter through Gate 8 and show your badge to the Association Gate attendant. After you park in the Owner/Trainer lot, go straight to the temperature check and wristband tent to receive your complimentary box.

You will be given a “box tag” upon arrival. Please display the tag prominently and leave the tag after you are done for the day. Some Boxes will be designated as empty for social distancing. Please do not sit in boxes that have already been tagged or are designated as empty. Please do not rearrange the chairs.

Owners must adhere to the following safety protocols while at Santa Anita Park:
• Masks must be worn at all times unless you are eating or drinking in your box.
• Maintain a social distance of six (6) feet from others.
• Stay on pathways and within the box and apron area. Please do not go into restricted areas.

Morning Workouts

Licensed owners may come to see their horses work between 5-10 a.m. PT at Clocker’s Corner. Complimentary coffee will be provided. Please enter Gate 8 and show your valid CHRB Owner’s License or your Virtual Badge at the Association Gate, park in the Owner/Trainer lot, and go to “Health Check Tent” outside of Clocker’s Corner to have your temperature checked and receive your wristband.
